The Rwanda Dermatology Society (RDS) is committed to advancing skin health and dermatological care across Rwanda. Our mission is to promote healthy skin for all through education, professional development, research, advocacy, and community outreach.

We raise public awareness about skin care, non-communicable and tropical skin diseases, skin cancers, and sexually transmitted infections through workshops, seminars, and outreach initiatives. For healthcare professionals, we provide continuous training and mentorship to strengthen dermatological expertise nationwide.

Education and Awareness: We aim to educate the Rwandan public about skin care , non communicable skin diseases , neglected tropical skin diseases, skin cancers and sexually transmitted diseases among others through workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs focusing on preventative measures , early seeking care , diagnosis and management in order to promote healthy skin for all .

Professional Development: We strive to enhance the skills and knowledge of dermatologists and healthcare professionals in Rwanda through continuing education and training programs.

Research and Advocacy: RDS is dedicated to promoting research in dermatology and advocating for policies that improve access to dermatological care across the country.

Community Outreach: We are actively engaged in providing dermatological services and support to underserved communities, particularly those in rural areas.

Mentorship program :The RDS is actively involved in mentorship program to support Provincial , District Hospitals and health care facilities as Dematovenereologist expert are available only in Teaching and tertiary hospitals therefore a support to underserved Hospitals would improve their skin care.
